What scientific or medical breakthrough do you most want to happen in your lifetime?

No cures for any diseases, please. It's already obvious that the human species has grown way too large. Yes, death might be awful, but it's a part of life and people should learn to accept it instead of trying to overcome every single disease in life.

Something about evolution. The current story (you know, monkeys to men, men being the only ones walking on two feet in the savannah etc) is just alright. What I'd want to hear is more about the aquatic ape theory (I'm not sure if that's the correct term here but those who know the theory know it and those who don't... well, they wouldn't understand anyway).

More than any specific breakthrough I'd like to see the world of science become more sceptical about certain theories that are often considered to be absolutely true. It's a shame that no one dares to question, for example, the evolution theory. It just might not be true. Yes, there are some very clear evidence but the evolution theory is just one way of interpreting the fossils.

I guess even Darwin would want us to question his theory.

Also, I'd love it if people wouold completely give up the nonsense antropocentrism and the stupid thought of being the crown of the creation.

If you could jump in a time machine and travel back to any point in history, where would you go?

There are many points of history I would like to go to. The Big Bang, various points of evolution, Palestine between 1 BC and 35 AD, World War II, various school shootings and 9/11 being the biggest interests.
